The main map shows elements of physical geography, such as contour lines, the river system, and summits (indicated by a triangle and elevation in metres). This map also shows many elements of political geography, such as the national capital city, other important cities and localities, and administrative region borders. A set of symbols helps identify important localities and cities, hamlets with no official status, Aboriginal communities, and main roads. An inset situates the main map in relation to the administrative region.
