An ecosystem is formed by all the interactions and connections between living things (plants and animals) and non-living things (temperature, terrain, quantity and shape of rocks, etc.) in an environment. Here you’ll see different habitats that are home to a large variety of animal species. The animals you see did not end up here by chance—like us, they each have their preferences. For instance, you won’t find a starfish sunbathing on a treetop in the middle of the forest!
